George Chan

For a decade I worked as a wildlife filmmaker and photographer for the BBC but on the 7th April 2011 my passion for wildlife photography was overtaken - this was the day I became a Dad and my love of family photography took hold. And it turns out, the skills for documenting animal behaviour with a long lens also come in handy when taking pictures of children. The only difference being that I don't have to be in camouflage!

I take documentary-style photographs and will travel to your home, garden or any other location you choose.  We can play with balloons and bubbles, make daisy chains, explore a nature pond or hunt for bugs - what ever it takes to make it a fun experience for your children and get wonderful shots. Allowing children to be free to run around and play, lends towards much more natural photos and captures their true spirit. My photos reflect a precious time in their lives and are deeply personal and unique to each family. If your home or garden doesn't appeal, I can suggest stunning outdoor locations such as summer meadows or bluebell woods.

Baby shoots also work really well in the home - capturing intimate moments and preserving those early new-born days. By allowing up to three hours in I can work around, feeding, sleeping and nappy changes - which can often be unpredictable factors!

As well as children's photography, I can be booked to photograph portraits, events & exhibitions and corporate/commercial shoots.
